Larry Moore is the corporate Principal Engineer, Mining and Metallurgy, for FM Global and is responsible for leading engineering activities in the mining and metallurgical industries globally.
As of 2014 he has 45 years with FM Global. He often travels internationallyand has been to an estimated 70 foreign countries.
Moore holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Colorado State University and is a registered professional engineer in Fire Protection Engineering, Massachusetts. He is a member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers; Society of Mining and Exploration Engineers; National Fire Protection Association; and American Institute of Chemical Engineers where he has been elected a Fellow.
In his current position Moore consults internationally in fire protection engineering specializing in mining, mineral processing and metallurgical refining; oil, gas and petrochemicals plants; and in explosion evaluation and analysis. Moore has been in hundreds of mines and chemical facilities globally and has published numerous technical papers on mining and chemical plant loss prevention. |
